Overview

A sustainable future is critical for us all - and the way we get to a greener future can be seen in big changes to our transportation. But, how can airplanes become more sustainable? What are the key problems, challenges, and solutions?

Join this Sprint with the Civil Aviation Authority, and use your creative thinking and great ideas to consider the future potential of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). You’ll investigate the pros and possible cons of SAF, and, with the help of expert professionals, you’ll address some key questions around this potential sustainable solution.

In this Sprint, you’ll be supported by Polina Webb, Sustainability Principal at the Civil Aviation Authority. Polina will take you through some of the key aspects of sustainable aviation, and provide an insight into some of the unique challenges that the sector faces. She will guide you through the task at hand, and showcase how organisations like the Civil Aviation Authority are working to tackle this and work towards a greener future. Plus, you’ll get the chance to hear more about the CAA’s Sustainability Team, and Polina’s journey in the sector and the different career pathways available!
